Former FIGHT Members Join LOLLIPOP LUST KILL
January 15, 2004Guitarist Brian Tilse and bassist J.J. from Rob Halford's post-JUDAS PRIEST outfit FIGHT have officially joined LOLLIPOP LUST KILL. "They both bring a lot of experience and really were a perfect fit right from the beginning," LOLLIPOP LUST KILL guitarist Pill writes on the group's web site. "If you wonder why [singer] Evvy and [drummer] Knits have been so excited about the music lately, it's because we all feel it's that good. The creativity and chemistry has never felt this strong before and we should hopefully have a lot of new material to play for you real soon. As far as keyboards go, Bret Haupt from SWEATYSUEDELIPS is going to be working alongside me and J.J., so you should expect a lot more electronics and keyboards on the new material. Bret has worked with us on 'MSCK' ('My So-Called Knife') and I'm very excited about writing the next album with him.
"I hope you all can understand that we have always been about growing and changing but at the same time we understand what we are. All three have been chosen because we feel they want to go the same direction we do, and can help us make the best LLK ever."
LOLLIPOP LUST KILL, who recently parted ways with Artemis Records, have posted a "home recorded demo" of a new song called "She was Told" on their web site. Check it out: MP3 (5.7 MB),WMA (6.8 MB),WAV (50.3 MB). The band are currently writing and demoing new material in hopes of securing a new record deal and releasing their sophomore full-length CD later in the year.
